Project: AiM
Duration: 24 months
Start Date: 01.11.2024
End Date: 31.10.2026
AiM is an innovative project aiming to create pioneering tools for fuller inclusion of students (ages 8-13) on the autism spectrum in the educational process.
Specifically, the project aims to:
– Promote a more inclusive learning environment for children on the autism spectrum
– Empower children with autism and their families by encouraging their independence and developing their social skills, personal skills, as well as their mental and physical well-being
– Encourage continuous professional development of teachers while supporting plans for the digital transformation of education
– Promote transnational cooperation and raise awareness of human rights
Initially, project partners will hold innovative forums to identify existing gaps and develop targeted training resources. Then, international AiM program ambassadors will be trained during cross-border mobility, who will conduct national seminars. The resource set will also include interactive workshops for students with autism. Dissemination activities such as Open Days and fairs are planned to increase the project’s reach and engagement of project result users, community stakeholders, and the general public.
As a result, the following materials will be produced:
– VALIDATED PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM for teachers to develop their competencies to support children with autism and their families
– AiM EDUCATIONAL PACKAGE TO SUPPORT CHILDREN WITH AUTISM and their families through VR and other GAMES aimed at their physical and mental well-being
– RECOMMENDATIONS to improve inclusion and accessibility for learners with autism
