On December 14, 2021, a General Assembly of “CONNECT International”—an international network comprising non-governmental organizations, companies, public sector organizations, and others—was held. NARU has been a member of the network since 2020.
Within its innovative European projects and activities, CONNECT unites organizations focused on the following main pillars:
• Citizenship – working on strengthening digital democracy, civic and youth participation, and more.
• Rights – training and advocacy for the protection of human rights of internet users and equal application of the Human Rights Charter in the digital world.
• Access – supporting free and open access to the internet, educational resources, improving digital literacy and skills, overcoming the digital divide, and more.
• Progress – introducing innovative practices and developing information technologies.
During the meeting, opportunities for joint projects and collaboration in various sectors and thematic areas were discussed. Current projects of the network participants were also presented.
