The National Association of Resource Teachers (NARU) continues its series of regional meetings across the country, providing opportunities for direct dialogue with professionals, the exchange of experience, and discussions on current challenges in everyday practice.
The host of today’s meeting, held on 27 October 2026, was the Regional Center for Support of the Inclusive Education Process (RCSSIE – Ruse), led by its Director, Ms. Evgenia Stoyanova.
Participants had the opportunity to explore the facilities where RCSSIE – Ruse carries out its activities. The Center occupies a specially designated and modernly equipped floor in a school building in the city, made available for its use.
With great professionalism and a strong commitment to meeting children’s needs, the space has been transformed into a modern and functional environment. It includes specialized rooms for art therapy, a salt therapy room, music therapy and kinesitherapy facilities, a conference room, renovated corridors, and other spaces designed to support inclusive education.
A key focus of the meeting was the open discussion with specialists from the region about the challenges they face in their daily work, their interactions with children, parents and institutions, as well as their need for additional resources, training and professional support.
Participants exchanged experiences, discussed current issues arising in their practice, and shared concrete ideas for improving communication and cooperation between Association members and NARU.
We also presented a wide range of free practical resources and materials available on the NARU website and the websites of our partners. These resources can be used in the everyday work of resource teachers and other professionals supporting inclusive education.
Participants were also introduced to various projects, initiatives and opportunities for professional development, exchange of experience and enhancement of professional competencies. Our goal is to equip specialists with more useful tools, ideas and opportunities that they can directly apply in their work.
In recognition of their active participation and commitment to the professional community, attendees received certificates on behalf of the Association.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Director of RCSSIE – Ruse, Ms. Evgenia Stoyanova, and the entire team for their warm hospitality, cooperation and for providing the opportunity to hold such a productive professional dialogue!
NARU’s regional meetings continue with a clear mission: to stay closer to professionals, listen to their needs and work together to find solutions that strengthen and support inclusive education.
