Ten specialists from RCPPPO Sofia-City (Regional Center for the Inclusive Education Process Support) are participating in an international training course in Lisbon, Portugal, under the Erasmus+ Programme, KA122-SCH – short-term mobility projects for learners and staff in school education, as part of the project titled:

“ICT and Free Web Resources for Education – A Different Way to Teach and Learn.”

The training is taking place from August 28 to September 1 of this year. The event is organized by Centro de Formação EAGLE INTUITION, Portugal.

The focus of the training includes:

•             Digital application of Google tools in the classroom;

•             Using free web tools in education, such as Prezi, Voki, and other apps;

•             Utilizing the Moodle platform in classroom settings;

•             Encouraging the development of pedagogical practices involving ICT (Information and Communication Technologies).

On the first day, participants were introduced to the Portuguese educational system, with a specific focus on the digitalization strategy of schools, digital skills, and teacher training from 2020 to 2023.

All schools in Portugal use SELFIE – a free, easy-to-use, customizable tool that helps schools assess where they stand in terms of digital learning. Every student and teacher in Portugal receives a free laptop, which they use for their educational preparation and learning. Additionally, there are plans to fully digitize textbooks within the next two years.

Some schools in Almada have already developed the capacity of school principals and teachers to manage digital educational processes effectively.
