On June 23, 2021, at Park Hotel Moskva in Sofia, a European seminar was held to disseminate the results of the CultApp project: “Experiencing Cultural Heritage in Vocational Education and Training through the Use of Augmented Reality (AR) Applications,” under the Erasmus+ program. The event brought together 38 representatives of key stakeholders, including schools, vocational high schools, kindergartens, regional centers supporting inclusive education, NGOs, and representatives of NARU’s foreign partners.

The main goal of the project is to raise awareness of the importance of promoting and protecting European cultural heritage through education and lifelong learning, especially among young people.

During the seminar, the three intellectual outputs created by the project partners were presented:

                •             A compendium of AR (augmented reality) practices in the field of cultural heritage, featuring 12 best practices.

                •             An online training program for teachers on the use of augmented reality (AR4CHE).

                •             A study project: an augmented reality application for presenting cultural heritage.

The event featured Ms. Irina Filipova, deputy director of 119 Secondary School “Acad. Mihail Arnaudov” in Sofia, and Mr. Georgi Palpurin from the Interactive Bulgaria Foundation, who presented adapted educational content and its potential use in schools.

The project was implemented by seven partners from six countries during the period November 1, 2019 – August 31, 2021:
