Today, June 25, 2021 (Friday), at Sofia Tech Park, Sofia, an official opening conference was held: “New Programming Period 2021–2027 of the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programs,” organized by the Center for Human Resource Development in its role as the National Agency for the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Programs.

The main goal of the event was to outline the new opportunities of the programs, the differences in activities compared to the previous programming period, and to award outstanding projects under the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programs.

Official greetings were delivered by Ms. Mariya Gabriel – Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, and Youth; Prof. Nikolay Denkov – Minister of Education and Science; Andrey Kuzmanov – Minister of Youth and Sports; as well as the Executive Director of the Center for Human Resource Development, Mr. Mihail Balabanov.

NARU’s project “Learning and Growing Together,” under the European Solidarity Corps program, was recognized for active work on European educational projects. The award for a successfully implemented volunteer project was presented by Minister Kuzmanov to Paulina Petrova, project and program coordinator of the organization. NARU’s team received the distinction after many years of work with international volunteers in the field of inclusive education and work with youth at risk.

We thank all our wonderful, responsible, and ambitious volunteers and our partners from 140th Secondary School “Ivan Bogorov” and the Regional Center for Support of Inclusive Education Sofia City for the excellent results achieved in our joint work. During the project, everyone learned many new things, and we grew together on the path of realizing our causes.
