The training for young people under the project “Knowledge on Human Rights” has concluded, with the participation of 30 students from across the country. The participants learned more about their own biases and stereotypes, and how these can lead to discriminatory behavior. We also explored topics such as privilege and labeling.

To wrap up, we examined together how we can apply what we’ve learned and the role we play in creating a more inclusive and diversity-friendly school environment. We remain deeply energized by our meeting with these engaged, curious, and inquisitive young people. We can’t wait to collaborate with them again in the upcoming phases of the project!

NARU is a partner in the project, led by the organization “Znanie” from Lovech. The project “Knowledge on Human Rights” is implemented with financial support provided by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism in Bulgaria.

The main goal of the “Knowledge on Human Rights” project is to bring about a positive change in response to the trends of human rights violations, manifestations of intolerance, discrimination, and the use of hate speech among young people and students.
