Project: ESC 2024
Duration: 14 months
Start Date: 01.09.2024
End Date: 31.10.2025
The project 2024-1-BG01-ESC51-VTJ-000200387 under the European Solidarity Corps programme starts in 2024. The participants will be 3 young people (ages 18-30) – international volunteers. The project takes place in Sofia over 10 months from each volunteer’s arrival.
The target group of the project is at-risk school students from marginalized social groups. The project activities aim to provide volunteers with valuable experience for their future careers and to assist students aged 15-18 from risk groups in improving their financial literacy, personal development, and career orientation.
The main goal of the project is to develop knowledge and skills to support youth employment and motivate professional realization of minority youth and youth at risk of dropping out of school. The aim is to create opportunities for volunteers to conduct non-formal education and engage in intercultural dialogue with young people, thereby contributing to their successful integration into the labor market and supporting the development of their social skills.
Additionally, volunteers actively participate in summer activities at the Sofia Regional Centre for Support of Inclusive Education (RCSSIE) working with children with special educational needs, alongside resource specialists such as psychologists, resource teachers, speech therapists, and others.
